Lake Powell & Playin in the rain

Last blog from this house

We will be completely moved out by tomorrow night. So this is the last entry I will be putting up for possibly three month's. Still haven't got word on the exact day we will head up to Montana so that's a little bit of a kick in the ass. It should be soon, or at least it better be soon. Bodie and Jett are rearing to get into the trailer and have already loaded it up with their toy's. It is going to be cozy for sure. We have a four person family plus a dog that has grown way to much in the last few month's. We know it's not going to be easy living in that tight of space but we are also excited to live a much simpler life. Yea even Sloan.

Johnny & Jett checkin out there new 1967 trailer and playin in the old house

Packin

We have been haulin everything to storage all week and almost have it done. Got to say it's not all that much fun. The idea of moving sound's good to me but actually doing it hasn't been all that great. Sloan has been workin hard packing everything and cleaning up our beautiful new home that we will be moving in to shortly. Johnny Bo is excited about it all and keep's asking if we can leave to go camping. Poor kid doesn't realize that camping is all he will be doing for a few month's.

Bodie holdin the tail of the biggest trout I have ever caught , washin bike's, and sand dunes

Bo

Cedar Mountain

Bodie , Jett, and myself were fishin a little creek that run's down Stout Canyon while Sloan was back at the truck with Boozer. When we came back she was holding a little kitten that she heard crying in the wood's. He matched the dog perfectly and the boy's obviously liked him but since we don't even know where were going to live we thought it best not to add another mouth to the family. The next day we took him to Best Friends and went through and hour long process of filling out papers explaining why we were giving him up and what his freakin name was and his eating and grooming habits. So thanks to that the next cat Sloan finds in the wood's can give it his best shot becoming friend's with the local wild life.

Summer fun.......and the livin's ezzzy

We have been having a lot of fun lately, maybe not all that easy but it has been fun. Thing's are starting to get a little crazy since we have to have this house packed up by the end of the month. I can not believe how much crap we have accumulated since we got married. Before I married Sloan and got my Boy's I could pack everything I owned in my Bronco. Now I need the biggest damn U-hual they make. In short , possession's suck. They are a noose around my neck which for the most part I could do with out. In other new's there is some talk of me going to work for South Central Communications. The job is for the Cedar City , Summit, and Parowan area, so we could live in any one of those town's. I'am not a big fan of Cedar so if it happen's probably one of the other two. It is just talk for now though so I'am not to worried about the pressure that would come with a regular forty hour work week. Well that's all I got for the moment. The pic's above show a little of the fun we have been having. Later

The Desert

As much as I love being in the mountain's I never feel as at home as I do in the desert. After being in Tahoe for only a couple week's I was ready to move in permanetly. That is until I made the drive back to Southern Utah. As soon as I topped the little rise just past the Arizona State Line and got my first view of the red rock surrounding St. George I new I was home. I cant say exactly what it is but there is definitely a feeling I get from the harsh desert landscape that I feel nowhere else. There is a deep quite I can hear in the desert that I could not appreciate more after escaping from civilization's harsh noise. It bring's my body a deep peace that I think some of you may feel from religion. I may leave from time to time but I will always return and always call the desert my home.

Not the first time and wont be the last

We are packin up our stuff again. Sloan and myself made the decision about 11 oclock this morning that we will move out of this little house and put most of our crapola in storage. Decision was made at 11, a lot of our possession's had price tag's on them by 2 , and yard sale signs were strategically placed through out Kanab by 6. Sloan has turned out to be one hell of a wife. I say pack, she smile's and get's to it. Well it wasnt that easy but way better than I could ever hope for. Everybody that has been around me know's that if at all possible I like to have a new job, new house, new town , at least every six to eight month's. We have been in this little house for well over a year and a half. So as you can see this little adventure is long over due. I asked Johnny Bo if it would be okay if we sold all of our stuff and lived in a tent on the mountain. He gave me a dead serious look and said " ummm..... I think we should probably keep the dvd player because we will want to watch some show's". Couldn't say much to that so the dvd player stay's. I will be starting a three month job in Ashland Montana in a few week's. Luckily Sloan and the kid's have agreed to come up there with me and live in a tent , motel , or if were lucky an old camp trailer. I'am lucky to have such an awesome wife because that last job in Tahoe was way to damn long to go with out seeing her and the kid's and this job would be a lot longer. Ashland is only a couple hour's away from east Yellowstone so Iam guessin we can make it a pretty good time. I cant think of anything more rewarding for Sloan than to sit in an old camp trailer for 8 or 9 hour's a day with two insanely well behaved young boy's while the daddy is at work. Plus when it is all over we will have our storage unit to return home too.
