Ashland Montana Fantasy Camp

We will be paying for that little trip off for some time to come. It was an experience ......and for some reason, I would do it again. Have any of you ever been on highway 212 through the Crow and Cheynne indian reservation's? Probably not. I would bet that most of you will never find a reason to do it in your life either. But , Sloan , Johnny Bo , Myself and the Jettster went down that road and lived on it. We worked hard , played hard and even made some pretty cool friend's. Although not anything about the area was spactaular or even all that unique it was a beautiful place. Sloan found a park beside the Tounge River that belonged to the Saint Labre Res School that for the 8 week's that we were there was our own private sanctuary. We watched movie's and read every night huddled on Sloan and my bed, slash dinner table, slash trampoline. That is just a few thing's that that 5 by 5 area was used for. We took long drives down dirt road's through counrty that was packed with Antelope and White Tail deer. We drove to laundry matt's North , South , West and East of Ashland every Saturday to do our laundry for the week. The closest one was 45 miles away. It did teach us that we could conserve a hell of a lot of water by wearing a pair of pant's more than once and using the same towel for the week was not that big of deal. We also learned from living with no microwave that no matter what the hell the food is, with out question 100% better cooked on a stove. We stood where Custor and his men foolishly died on the Little Big Horn Battlefield. We stood on top of Bear Tooth Pass at almost 1200 feet as the sun was falling over the mountain's to the west. We tried like hell to find a bear. Didn't, but we did see a pretty good portion of of the animal life that resides in the area. We lived in Ashland............
